I asked Erica to help me brush up the content of my Web site with a new perspective to my artwork. She was a big h elp and I am seeing results in the number of people coming to my site as a result. Thanks, Erica.

Erica was an essential member of the intern team at Nicholson Kovac. She and I worked together on our summer intern project, and her attention to detail, thorough research, and insistence on perfection raised the whole group to a new level. Even when she was overloaded with proejcts from the PR department, she never lost her focus, an dowrked as quickly and efficiently as possible to complete all of her asigned tasks. She is an excellent writer who is a stickler for getting the details of every project just right - regardless of size or importance. She would be a great addition to any company, as the standard of work she expects of herself sets the bar very high for those around her.

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is my personal recommendation for Erica Binns, who I supervised for three months as part of the Nicholson Kovac Inc. Summer Internship program. As her immediate supervisor, I had the opportunity to direct her work on several projects as well as oversee her professional development as a member of the public relations team.
Erica's eagerness to learn, her willingness to pitch in wherever needed and her self-reliance were invaluable in the fast-paced, ever-changing agency world. Her sense of urgency and her pro-active nature, combined with the need for minimal supervision, added to her overall effectiveness.
During her internship, Erica was afforded many opportunities to do "real work" for real clients. As an example, she contributed several components to a pro bono media relations campaign for the Lawrence, Kan. Animal Shelter, including on-site photography, a social news release (SNR) and a podcast. All of this was done on very short notice in an effort to boost adoptions at a time when the shelter was completely overwhelmed with strays. Because of her efforts, the shelter received some much-needed exposure in a variety of media outlets.
Additionally, Erica proved very capable in supporting other areas of the public relations function including assembling media kits, compiling clip reports, and writing employee bios used in new business pitches, magazine articles for clients and news briefs for the NK intranet.
Erica further demonstrated her interest in the public relations industry by attending several webinars, breakfasts and luncheons on various "hot topics" including social media, Twitter, and building effective social news releases.
Given her formal studies, her exposure to current public relations practices, her work experience and her growing portfolio of completed work, I'd say that Erica is well-poised to be a solid contributor to any team she may join in the future.
Sincerely,
Michelle L. Keller
Public Relations Account Supervisor
